Welke EMC Kabel kies jij?

Door de toenemende hoeveelheid elektrische en elektronische apparatuur neemt het risico op elektromagnetische interferentie (EMI) toe. Dit kan de goede werking van machines en installaties hinderen.

De installateur is verantwoordelijk voor de storingsvrije werking van installaties. Het is daarom belangrijk om EMC-kabels te kiezen die voldoende afschermen tegen elektromagnetische straling. De mate van afscherming die nodig is, kan per situatie variëren. In deze video legt Lars Knoester, productmanager bij Draka, de belangrijkste verschillen uit.

More and more electronics are being used in industry and utilities. Think of the increasing use of power electronics for industrial installations and LED lighting. But also to advancing automation and digitization and the advance of wireless networks.

Due to the increase in electrical and electronic equipment, the risk of electromagnetic interference is increasing. These can hinder the proper functioning of machines and installations.

Draka recently developed a special cable for the new generation of Variable Frequency Drives: Motoflex. Why? The new VFDs cause fewer EMC interferences than their predecessors, which is why VFD manufacturers are increasingly prescribing 4-wire motor cables with lower EMC shielding.
