We understand the importance of interconnectors and the need for technically suitable and highly reliable cable solutions for a sustainable exchange and integration of energy in the electricity supply of the respective countries and in the broader development of regional energy transmission infrastructures.
We deliver comprehensive and fully managed EPCI projects with solutions for interconnector cable systems, using our extensive engineering, production and turnkey installation capabilities, applying a complete project management approach and providing the required cost-effective high-power current cable connections.
Prysmian is a leader in the interconnector sector and is pushing technological boundaries to be able to offer optimized performance and economically efficient HVDC cable systems to our customers who are developing, expanding and renewing their power grids.
We offer an extensive and leading HVDC portfolio with the largest product range to meet these needs. We offer MI and MI-PPL paper-insulated solutions and extrusion cables with both P-Laser and XLPE insulation systems.
For us, innovation is an endless process, which is also evident from our current activities that are aimed at raising voltage levels. We are currently developing an 800 kV P-Laser capacity as a complement to our current 600 kV solutions.
In other areas, we are busy optimizing systems and methods to produce cable connections for even greater water depths, up to 3,000 meters.
